Our Newcomer Resource Team was created to support newcomers like you in settling into life in Edmonton and integrating into our parish family. Our goal is simple: to welcome you with open hearts, open minds, and open doors, and to make you feel truly at home.

How We Can Help

Our team of volunteers offers a range of practical and personal support services to make your transition smoother:

• Parish Connections: Warm introductions to other members of our church community.
• Transportation Assistance: Rides to attend church services, prayer meetings, and important appointments.
• Housing & Education: Information on accommodation, rentals, and school admissions.
• Government Services: Guidance in obtaining key documents such as SIN cards, health cards, driver’s licenses, and more.
• Community Resources: Help in accessing public libraries, computers, and internet services.
• Employment Support: Assistance with job searches, résumé writing, and referrals to reputable job placement agencies, co-op programs, and adult learning centers.
• Professional Guidance: Information about licensing and registration requirements for various trades and professions.

Welcome Kit

Every newcomer to our parish receives a Welcome Kit, thoughtfully prepared to help you with important settlement steps and registration procedures. This kit includes valuable local information, useful contacts, and practical guidance to help you feel settled and informed.

Our church is blessed with members from many professions and backgrounds who are eager to share their knowledge and experience. By coordinating our efforts, we aim to build a supportive network where everyone can thrive — spiritually, socially, and practically.
